Shallow Gallery: Passing Place by Jesse Pollock & Melloney Harvey

Passing Place is an exhibition about the awareness of our eternal passing world and how we are a blip in time. Jesse and Melloney spend their time creating sculptures that will outlive themselves, knowing their sculptures will then then go on to live their own lives. They may turn to dust, become the mud underfoot, breathed in and exhaled into the landscape; or live on, be curious, admired, questioned, loved, despised.

This awareness runs parallel to another.

Witnessing an ever hastening passing world, one quicker than the traditions and crafts we (Jesse and Melloney) admire and that can feel like are always on the brink of extinction.

Presented by Arts Central Studios and curated by Rookie Services, Shallow Gallery is a public art platform celebrating contemporary artists and Milton Keynes’ creative community.
