A exhibition by Ellie Brown & Dinosaur Kilby
Dinosaur Kilby is an Artist-Curator based in Birmingham, UK. He currently works at Wolverhampton Art Gallery as a Creative Producer. Ellie Brown is a researcher, writer and editor. Her work examines the afterlives of a twentieth-century vision for a new Britain – of shopping centres and public art. Ellie hold a PhD in art and architectural history of British shopping centres built between 1967–82.
What does it mean to haunt…? To cause repeated suffering and distress? To repeatedly frequent or patronise? Pounding the smooth travertine tiles that pave the arcades of Milton Keynes’s building for shopping, Ellie searches for answers.
Presented by Arts Central Studios and curated by Rookie Services, Shallow Gallery is a public art platform celebrating contemporary artists and Milton Keynes’ creative community.
Discover the gallery to the left of the Field Walk entrance (Door 13), next to Next. The exhibition is open to the public 24/7.
