Well we already covered off yesterday that applying sunscreen before you go outside is crucial, and tomorrow we’ll be talking about the importance of taking off make-up before bed but moisturiser is another ‘must’ in our skincare regimes, and mainly that’s due to our external environment. Pollution, UV rays, fatigue, lack of hydration and stress are all things that in time show negative effects on our skins as we age – more so if we don’t create a barrier, and that’s what moisturiser does. It effectively creates a barrier and also hydrates your skins, (which is something that our skin finds harder to do as we age). So with that in mind we thought we’d give you our quick 5 round-up of the very best moisturisers available at centre:mk… Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream: The best moisturiser for dry skin (£49 for 30ml, John Lewis & Partners) A firm favourite with models and celebrities the world over, Charlotte’s Magic Cream is the perfect pre make-up prep especially for skin in need of some hydration. Well, if it’s good enough for J.Lo it’s good enough for us! Estee Lauder Revitalising Supreme + (£49 for 30ml, Boots) One of Estee Lauder’s Best Sellers, the Revitalizing Supreme + is said to give your skin bounce, glow and radiant vitality. Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 anti-ageing moisturiser (£14.99 for 50ml, Superdrug) Skincare can be an expensive business but this stand out cream from Olay is affordable and does 7 age defying things in one! Instant smoothness – thank the slightly exfoliating properties of the cream, lines and pores blurred – yes it does that too. Packed with SPF – yes it contains factor 15 and as is a common theme here, it hydrates too. Origins Ginzing, Energy Boosting Gel Moisturiser (£25 for 50ml, Marks and Spencer) This fabulous gel from Origins is perfect for combination skin without making your skin too greasy. The energy packed moisturiser perks up tired, dull skin with its coffee bean and panax ginseng ingredients. Plus it smells delicious with a refreshing orange scent to match the box.
