The truth is, there is no mysterious formula for dieting. It is as simple as putting good things into your body rather than bad and you will be eating healthily. We have been browsing the best cookery books out there at the moment that will deliver on taste and trim that waist!
- Ah, the lovely Joe Wicks. He has been our saviour in the past year, getting the nation moving as we navigate our way through these strange times. Well, he has a brand new book, “30 day kick start plan” Which is fantastic for dropping the pounds and getting fit with some great exercises at the same time. Joe’s back to basics ethos will really get you some great results and the recipes are tasty, nutritious and healthy!
- We love the third book in the series “Pinch of Nom” and like the others, it focuses on low calorie cooking – not that you would know it by tasting these delicious recipes. All of them are super easy to make without too much effort and the recipes are just as easy to follow. There is a handy section on four ingredient basics for when your cupboards are bare and big batch cooking so you always have something healthy and tasty in your freezer!
- If you are looking to go more plant based or even completely plant based, then a great starting point is “Speedy Bosh!” from the UK’s best-selling Vegan authors of all time. All of the recipes are simple and quick and can be on your table in under 30 minutes. Our favourites include the tofu satay kebabs, spicy stuffed aubergines & Thai green curry bowls. It’s a great book to get more veggies in your diet or to completely go vegan!
- Gut Health and looking after our immune system is a hot topic right now and is likely to be a talking point throughout 2021. “The immunity Cook book” proves to be really informative with an introduction explaining how the immune system works but its packed full of really tasty recipes as well, all designed to improve your immunity to diseases and power up your gut health. Highlights include zingy teriyaki salmon salad and broccoli lemon chicken with cashews, and there are even some sweet treats.
