An authentic taste of Spain is now available right here in centre:mk with a new independent Churro’s café…
centre:mk has just welcomed a new independent eatery to its line-up this month showcasing the very best of authentic Spanish treats from owner Luis and his business partner Chris.
Owner Luis’s parents emigrated from La Coruna, Spain in 1965 and his Grandmother's Maiden name is honoured in the naming of the café; Morano’s. It was his Spanish background that inspired a vision to bring authentically made Spanish churros in a Churreria environment to the UK.
If you don’t already know, churros are a fried-dough pastry (predominantly choux) based snack. Traditionally they originate from Spain and Portugal, and are usually served with tasty melted chocolate!
At Morano’s you get the ‘real’ Spanish experience; the décor and machinery to make the churros and dipping chocolate is completely authentic – as are the tiles, tables and chairs, all of which have been imported directly from Spain. You might also spot the phrase ‘Recien Hechos Todo El Dia’ which can be found written on the wall in tiles means ‘Freshly Made All Day’ – an accolade to the quality of the churro’s they have on offer here. What's more the flour, oil and chocolate have all been imported from Spain to ensure a genuine taste for Guests.
Finally if you’ve overdone it on Churros you could always opt for quality coffee and a slice of one of their handmade cakes; all of which are created using Spanish recipes by a local pastry Chef – buenisimo!
