On 5th May 2018 Buckingham Firefighters are undertaking a gruelling 12 hour, nonstop fire ground fitness challenge to raise awareness and funds for 'The Cure CJD' Campaign.
This is part of their continuous efforts to support the charity - in the past 12 months they have managed to raise over £42,000 for the charity.
The challenge will start at 7am in Middleton Hall. Buckingham Firefighters will be demonstrating to the public the fire ground assessment to promote Health and Wellbeing within the fire service. The team of 6 will take it in turns to complete the assessment within the allowed 11min 11sec. This fitness test is tough and FFs across the country are expected to complete this twice a year, they will be completing this 12 times each in just 12hrs!
On the day there will also be a public fitness test area, where any guests can come and get an appreciation for what the test involves.
